Re: Always Right Match Committee Round 17 VS Port Adelaide
I think Darcy can step up in Cody's absence.
Sam is not too young to show responsibility.

We look a lot worse on paper compared to last week. It is going to make it a lot more difficult.

I?m concerned how long we?ll be without both. This week we can probably handle, the next few? Not likely.

Jones out? OK that was always my main concern.
We're about to see how dire our defensive stocks are without him.

Jones being hobbled ahead of the most gruelling month of the season?

McNeil ahead of Garcia, yeah ok.
Not sure we need both of Khamis and Coffield too.

Wonder if it'll be Khamis as sub cover for both ends of the ground again.

Definitely keep Lobb behind the ball. Was really good last week.
Big game hopefully coming up for Darcy in the absence of Weightman. Was great in the win against the Pies and will be a handful for the Port defence.

Either Khamis or Coffield is the guess.

Bevo said in his presser he was hopeful that they are both only a week.

Any club with their 3 most experienced and reliable KPDs out is going to start to get a little thin when they are getting to 5th and 6th choice. I don't think it's that bad given the circumstances. We just pray that the midfield can protect our largely inexperienced backline. I would sort of like Richards back there to help but he's also crucial in the midfield.

Who is going to play in Jone's place ? Lobb at CHB ?
One of Jone's strength is to leave his man and be the chop out/interceptor when the ball is being pummeld into the backline. Not sure who can replace this capability.
I am ok with McNeil , give him another chance.
Coffield is a surprise. Looking to come straight back.
My guess, Buku will be the sub,=.

Re: Always Right Match Committee Round 17 VS Port Adelaide
Hopefully we get 'Collingwood' McNeil and not 'virtually every other game' McNeil.
I guess he is next in line for the small forwards. Bit of an indictment on Arty and Clarke - they need to show pretty rapid improvement in 2025 to have a chance of having an AFL career of substance.

Will depend on how Port line up.
Port have 3 players in the forward line who are all 197/8 cm plus Georgiades at 192cm, so we will need to match them up.
