Re: Welcome to the Western Bulldogs Rory Lobb
At least he didn't give up. Felt for him basically being the number one defender as a tall with Jones out. Put his body on the line on a number of occassions which you can't say for a number of the other defenders.

Re: Welcome to the Western Bulldogs Rory Lobb
Can’t fault him the last 3 weeks, finally finding his position and what he needs to be for us . As long as he continues the way he is going he would be stupid to leave and have to start again when he had found his worth with us.

Re: Welcome to the Western Bulldogs Rory Lobb
It's stated that he's happy to stay if he can command a regular spot and I hope it plays out that way for him and the club.
If we have to trade him we shouldn't give him away without getting something decent back.

Re: Welcome to the Western Bulldogs Rory Lobb
I think based off the last few weeks with his versatility it would be very disappointing to lose him now. At worst he's great injury cover for multiple positions across the ground.

I didn't have Lobb being our most important key defender on my bingo card 2 weeks ago but here we are.
With so many unanswered questions on English's commitment to remain at the kennel that don't look like being answered before the season is finished, it would be madness to contemplate trading Lobb.

Yeah quite an incredible turnaround in the last few weeks from where I think Lobb sat with a lot of us.

I’m looking forward to watching the replay when I get home, as I felt Lobb was enormous tonight.
Who knew? (the defender thing)

McKay 1 touch in the second half.
Lobb very good again. More than anything I'm happy for him, his attitude has been first class and he deserves this.

Agree. Despite me assuming he was a wanker (probably because of the haircut) he seems a genuinely good team mate and has had a first class attitude through a trying year. Hats off to him and his character. Glad he’s playing good football.
Have you heard Butters wants to come to the Dogs?

I have no doubt he will stay if he keeps going like this.

Re: Welcome to the Western Bulldogs Rory Lobb
A lot to learn from the first half, even though some of McKay's marks were in situations where Rory wasn't ever a chance.
He was good in the second half, and with that application and a bit more common sense with usage at times he'll be an asset.

15 kicks
9 marks
14 intercept possessions
2 contested marks
9 contested possessions
