There is a lot of doom and gloom, and to be fair we were awful for the most part.
BUT as rock bottom as we were and without the rub of the green they were getting, we only lost the last three quarters by 2.6.
As awful as we were in the first quarter we should have had four goals on the board to their five- 2 sitters from set shots, a VDM brain fade, and a bs free kick called on Naughton for hands in the back.
Lots of if, buts and candynuts- but I don?t think we should be throwing away the season just yet. I?m driving over this weekend, I want to be cashing in my free Grilld burger for a dogs win come Monday.

That looks a disastrous trade with how vanilla Sanders looks.

Sanders looked so good in the early season. Was that a false hope? Someone mentioned he looks like Mitch Wallis 2.0. I hate how accurate that is starting to feel.

Wasn't Mitch Wallis actually pretty good before he broke his leg though?

He was always pretty limited. He could accumulate, but he lacked pace and hurt factor with his disposals.

Champion Data rated him elite prior to the 2016 season. His ball handling and hands were magnificent.
TF is this?.........Obviously you're not a golfer.

Sanders looks very lacking in hurt factor. I don't really see an elite trait? Endurance?

Sanders is playing a difficult role for a first year player. He hasn't been afforded the luxury of coasting behind the ball, he's not a key mid in a shitty team.
I am not at all worried about him.
Versus Tom Liberatore at the same age:

Yes I know stats aren't everything, but they help. After next year there'll be an inside mid spot especially for him, and he'll thrive.

Of course way too early to judge but if you've watched enough footy you get a sense.
Melbourne's first two picks Windsor and Tholstrup just look like long term players straight away.
Sanders, he's going to have to be an inside player with his speed and I'm not sure they're as important as they used to be. Pure inside types.

No worries, I'll defer to you and your expertise then.

Yeah he looks a bit of a plodder with no penetration in his kicking. Hope for our sake he develops a lot.
