Re: Lachie Hunter
He is like many of our players, if he's not 100% switched on he turns into a liability who cooks his own head and can't do the basics right.
Not sure if it's maturity, or complacency, both or something else.
TF is this?.........Obviously you're not a golfer.

Re: Lachie Hunter
Lachie Hunter has retired. Stranded on 199 games. Just like choco royal.

Re: Lachie Hunter
Premiership Player (played every game in 2016 and had the most disposals for the club that year)
Charles Sutton Medal (2018)
199 games
80 goals
2019 Vice Captain
At his best he racked up disposals for fun and influenced games with his ability to find the ball and use it intelligently. Just very sad the way his career finished after his life away from football started to really impact his on field form from 2020 onwards.

I liked him as a player, but sad the way it ended up and having to leave.
All the best for the future

Re: Lachie Hunter
My memory is that he started his career poorly, elite in the middle, and ended poorly. I'll remember the middle the most.
On ya Lachie, hope it's onwards and upwards for him in life post footy.

Re: Lachie Hunter
Forever a bullgod indeed.
Another one of the 2016 premiership players bites the dust. It's been a crazy ride.
Hunter - moved on and fizzled out and retired early
Dahlhaus - moved on and fizzled out and retired early
Smith - retired early due to injury. Peaked injury free at the right time.
Wood - Retired expectedly
Moyd - Retired expectedly
Toyd - Retired early
Roughead - Moved on and retired early
Biggs - fizzled out and retired early
Roberts - fizzled out and retired early
Hamling - moved on, got injured. Never did much.
Picken - retired earlyish due to concussion
Dickson - retired expectedly
JJ - still going
Bont - still going well
Daniel - still going well but fading
Macrae - still going well but slowing down
Stringer - moved on and was largely ineffective
McLean - fizzled out and retired early
Libba - still going well but slowing down
Cordy - moved on and fizzled out
Morris - retired expectedly
Dunkley - moved on doing well
Basically half the side was moved on or retired early. Those that moved on have pretty much done nothing outside of Dunkley and 1 season for Roughead.
Everything really did come together that year.

Good summary, probably just disagree with saying Roughead retired early. Think he milked his body right to the end and got a few extra years at the pies.

Fixed.
Digressing, kinda nuts what Lachie forged from very iffy beginnings to the freakin vice captaincy to, well, this.

Re: Lachie Hunter
The tennis game between us and Dees is underwhelming us both.
Dees serve… Top spin Hannan down the middle
Dogs lunge down the middle and backhand Hunter
Dees chase down cross court with Harmes
Dogs well placed with the forehand down the line with Schache
Dees with the passing shot with Baker. Unbelievable!
Just stop swapping players with each other. Millions and millions of dollars while kids starve in Africa.
