Did we ever get to the bottom of why he wanted out so badly? Was it just money, or was it that and combo of not respecting the way guys like Hunter and co conducted themselves... Gee its annoying seeing him play so well at the Lions.

Info from a family member would indicate that the club very slow to try and refocus distracted players and that wore thin. Raised it with the leadership group and the coaches and things weren't addressed within the season.
The covid season where the players were in isolating up in Brisbane was particularly confronting.

That's pretty poor management by us then. To let is escalate to that level without leading/intervening. Very disappointing to hear - maybe its a good part of the reason why we've not so fussed to see B-Smith walk...

Disagree.
Lot of clubs had issues with players during the covid period and getting them to roll with the circumstances. The
Tigers had a few issues in 2020 and still one a flag!
The fact the Bulldogs dealt with Hunter shows the club was serious but Dunks still walked out and to a club that did not have to experience the hardships of the pandemic like most others.

Dunks wanted money and was jealous of The Bont but won't admit that's why he left.
