Illegitimate son of Kevin Sheedy. If I had have paid top dollar to attend the night I would have liked to have heard his actual thoughts on football matters rather than the waffle that he tends to dish up.

Same. Comparing it to last year it was a guy who has unfinished business and is seething about the way the year ended.

I always find his speeches hard to follow so it was just another addition for mine. Comparing his wife to a whatever that was ha... Not sure i would get away with that one!

    I thought he spoke well.

Some clear messaging to the playing group throughout and the fact he laboured on committed attitudes and the like quite a lot really resonated strongly. We’ve made some improvement, we need a greater level of commitment from the playing group to get to that next level. The players have signed up to do what they need to do over the off-season. Proof will be in the pudding. Hopefully this side does want to be the apex predator.
Have you heard Butters wants to come to the Dogs?

It was a speech with 2 halves. First half was halting and stammering as he tried to thank everyone. 2nd half was clear. Tone changed. His voice became deliberate. He adopted his story telling mode. There were some very very telling points in he second part of this speech and I suspect that these were carried through in exit interviews.

I'm seriously concerned about Libba's concussion issues.

Not the full list but 100% more detail than the top 10!

    Re: Charles Sutton Medal 2024

Thanks Axe. I've had a look at votes per game, tells an interesting story:

Rank Player Votes Games Votes/ Game
    1 Bontempelli 314 24 13.08
    2 Treloar 245 23 10.65
    3 Dale 245 24 10.21
    4 Lobb 163 16 10.19
    5 Jones 203 21 9.67
    6 Liberatore 170 18 9.44
    7 Richards 188 21 8.95
    8 Naughton 147 20 7.35
    9 Weightman 122 17 7.18
    10 Bramble 168 24 7.00
    11 Duryea 152 22 6.91
    12 Williams 161 24 6.71
    13 English 150 23 6.52
    14 Khamis 108 17 6.35
    15 Ugle-Hagan 138 22 6.27
    16 Darcy 123 21 5.86
    17 McNeil 70 12 5.83
    18 West 111 21 5.29
    19 O'Donnell 63 14 4.50
    20 Vandermeer 84 24 3.50

    Sorry for the formatting.

I think it shows why we're after players who can play that high half forward role, in that those we had running through there didn't feature highly with Daniel and Macrae not registering in the top twenty vote getters.

Naughton in the top ten, someone tell Kano. Lobb really cashed in after his switch to defence.
