In terms of us or them? Yeah, I'd only want us to pay a decent chunk if we got a pick inside 30, which I don't think will happen.

I get the feeling:
- both clubs are okay with cap space
- Saints obviously want Macrae more than we do
- we are both posturing for the better pick

Give how we seem to value Macrae and him wanting out, Saints paying his entire salary + getting a pick in the 40s seems to make sense (and probably a W for us).

I think we will get more as I think Power will extract it. I also think Power has the ability to take the sum of the parts of various trades and future picks to make the whole period work for us. How much more he specifically gets from Mackie I don?t know. It?s the media narrative that?s as equally frustrating as BS recent behaviour. I?m going to wait to see what happens before making any conclusions. 17 alone is too far unders and I think Power can get more so I want to see what that is.

I've been saying this since the Lake trade. Looking at the period through the frame of winning or getting bent over on isolated deals is the type of shit Dodoro does and it's detrimental to list management. You have to look at two to three trade periods and treat them holistically to meet list improvement requirements.

I think Power does this reasonably well.
