Not sure how Geelong can get a top 10 pick for Baz, they have pick 17 so that's a starting point, most scribes from what I've listened to believe he's closer to a top 10 pick so then pick 17 and their 2nd rounder? it's supposed to be a strong deep draft so we can either keep those picks or try and use 17 and maybe our second rounder next year for GC's pick 12?

We don't want to be shafted but at the same time we need to know what they have and work a deal to satisfy us with what they have.

They trade a player to get another pick and bundle them up. SDK to Carlton would certainly land them a pick pretty close to what we want from Carlton. Carlton hold 12 and there has been some talk of them landing 9.

He was a pick 7, I mean that was a handy draft too!

As much as the footy media circle jerk wants to downplay it - he's worth way more than a pick in the 20s.

Why is his manager saying he will get to them via the draft?

He should not be involved in that in any way.

The problem is Bailey's Manager unfortunately has to much pull with his stable of players. Clubs are aware especially the big clubs know they need to toe the line or players won't be direceted their way. This is why Connors knows Smith will get through to Geelong either way. It would be different if it was another Manager with a small stable of players.
