Re: Bulldog ONLY Trade News
He's not quick but he definitely moves across the field better than Macrae
But then again, I'm an Internet poster and Bevo is a premiership coach so draw your own conclusions.

Maybe lumbers better than Macrae?

This could be a rare win-win. I expect Macrae to play good footy in a more prominent role, it just wasn't going to be with us, and we need to prioritise Sanders (similar style - accumulator, one paced, one main position).
Kennedy offers us a bit more versatility.
Take away the history, it's clever trading.
Kennedy apparently wants more midfield minutes which is why Carlton opened the door for him to canvass other clubs.
If he's being considered as a Macrae replacement he's not guaranteed to get more with us.

Re: Bulldog ONLY Trade News
We're just going to do to him what Brisbane did to Dunkley.
In the end he'll suck up any role he can get to save face and play good football.

Re: Bulldog ONLY Trade News
So..... what are the issues with Kennedy besides;
Disp = abv ave
Marks = abv ave
Tackles = abv ave
Clearances = abv ave
I50s = abv ave
Cont possessions = abv ave
Intercepts = abv ave
Hitouts = Elite
Hotouts to ad = Elite
Scoring accuracy = abv ave
Score involvements = abv ave
Tackles = abv ave
Add to that, he's highly rated internally by all accounts. My mates who follow Carlton love him, and all people can say about him is he's a plodder, or focus on something he did 6 or so years. For the love of God, none of our forwards have those numbers and people think he will be the problem.
You keep on using that word... I do not
think it means what you think it means.

Not sure I buy that.
I'm sure he'd like more midfield minutes, but what player doesn't? I see this as Carlton needing to change their mix and there's no disputing he was really put offside by being subbed early in that final after he left his newborn and wife to quickly rush up for the game.

This is what I think the club is looking at, looking at the similar outputs from Kennedy & XOH vs Jack & CD. If the output is similar again next year and say for argument sake we paid the new potential guys $1M combined. We would?ve paid Jack & CD $1.55M. Thus, we redeploy $550,000 to other players contracts along with savings from BS and the $1M Barrass didn?t want. So it?s smart use of the cap if the talent ID folks say these guys can do the job that 2024 Jack & CD did.

Huge challenge for Sam Power and the club tomorrow. A real test of character and our ability to read the room.

Kennedy is a great pick up - really not sure what the melts are about, if he is to replace Macca in that HHF-Midfielder role he is an instant upgrade.

Re: Bulldog ONLY Trade News
Has Kennedy been given the super empathetic fit in or **** off treatment from Voss post the elimination final?
Kennedy's threehead versus Voss's blunt approach given the former's circumstances at the end of the season may not have gelled. Voss has always seemed to have lacked an empathy chip.
