    McGrath over McCluggage
    McKenna left them
    Daniher left them
Dunkley when his contract eventually expired, left them at the aisle

Brisbane owe Essendon a big sloppy kiss for being such a poorly run club.

But they keep winning trade week

You can add the number of players walked out after the drugs scandal.

    Re: Essendon

Now that they have dumped stringer, any chance we can revisit the bomberblitz joy and ecstasy of him coming to the club and how he can be the messiah?

How do do we see his tenure? I think we were lucky enough to see the best of stringer throughout his career thus far.

Also wondering what his end of year costumer will be for the GWS mad monday party?

He's done pretty well for them without actually getting the most out of ability.

    Re: Essendon

In 2015 he kicked over 50 goals and was All Australian.
In 2016 he not only played in a winning final, but a premiership.

He didn't achieve any of those things in his 7 seasons at Essington.

Awesome record for a player who picked his mark professionally. Going back twenty years Jake Stringer is a sixty goal a season utility.

Not sure what we expected when we drafted him. More and more I think we'd all have been unbelievably happy with a utility who can kick up to 40-50 goals a year as a medium sized forward.
    TF is this?.........Obviously you're not a golfer.

He's a Dogs player. Two goals a game. Goes to Essington for whatever reason.......1.4 goals a game. Still the package though.....

I quibble with caling him a utility. Seems like he was only ever fit enough to be a utility in 21. He's just a pseudo key foward

    Re: Essendon

I wonder what his contract is at GWS he could actually be better playing in a better team.
I think Essendon are in for another lean year or two minimum as well.

    Re: Essendon

We have a chance to repay the favour on Essendon?s penchant for wanting to take one of our draft targets just before us- Jayden Nguyen is one of their NGA?s and is a bit off the radar due to Kako.

    From Twitter:
-Calder 2023 BnF winner as an under-ager

-3rd in the Morrish Medal (Coates League BnF), tied with Jagga Smith and a vote ahead of Josh Smillie (5th).

-Top 5 finishes in 20M sprint, agility and standing + running jump tests at state combine

Playing as a small defender, he had numbers of:

    Coates League 2023
    Games: 13 Goals: 5

    AVERAGES
    -19 D
    -3 M
    -2 T
    -2 Rebound 50?s

    AVERAGES
    -19 D

    -3 Rebound 50?s

    U18 State Champs
    Games: 3

    AVERAGES
    -14 D
    -4 M
    -2 T

Nguyen played a game for Essendon VFL at the back end of the season

    Round 21

Surely another club will take him before us to make the bombers pay . Ultimate result is both their NGAs are chosen before the bombers pick exhausting any other options they have.

    Re: Essendon

The last 2 kids we 'stole' from Essendon ended up a deadeye forward who kicked 4 goals in a prelim, and an eker legend who is about to start at his 4th club.

    It's an omen. Bid dammit!
