Is that an issue though? It's nepotism manifest of course but is there some kind of breach? Is there a coaches salary cap or anything?

There?s a salary cap (called the soft cap for some reason) that limits what every AFL club can spend on football department and coaching staff.

I don?t know the exact details but I do know there are allowances for a portion of the head coach salary to be paid outside the cap, but I doubt being paid by a sponsor on top is within the spirit of it all.
