Here's them against each other in their respective first seasons of consistent games (which for Boyd was 2004 and roughly the same age Gallagher was this season):

In Boyd's next year (2005) he didn't take a huge leap:

The following (2006) things really kicked off for Boyd:

Hoping that Gallagher can trend in the same direction as a similar player for mine, but a little earlier given player development seems to have improved these past twenty years with younger small to medium sized players seemingly taking on more earlier.

Anyway, that's not the point of the thread apparently, so........
Someone needs to start a Garcia v Gallagher thread.

Not a bad suggestion, can play on small and medium forwards.

Unsure why the saints did not play him this year?
Over the years he's had a poor run with injuries and while his form in the VFL was very good they had no faith with him at the senior level.

I’ve had many invites but the location is still a mystery to me!

I don’t really know enough about him but Curtis Taylor is 24, has a good athletic profile, nice highlights package, is originally from Keilor, and could play wing/half forward/half back. A true utility.

If he’s prepared to work hard, he potentially has more upside than Poulter or Baker.

I really liked him in his draft year. I was surprised he slid and thought he want that far off Rozee as a junior.
He's probably the only DFA I'm interested in.

Excuse my ignorance but i try not to watch too many Norf games, but why would they who with a young list get rid of a 24 year if he's any good? Too many of the same type? What type of role could he be earmarked with us if we went with him?

    They've probably just seen enough.

You can mark him down for 15-20 touches - 80/20 uncontested/contested.

Runs OK. Kicks OK. Not a great defensive player...I wouldn't have said he was particularly creative either.

I don't know - I mean, I don't dislike him and you don't generally put in the hard yards to develop someone only to delist them when they hit their 'prime years' but I just think they figure they've seen enough.

On the other hand, North have been very bad so maybe a fresh start in a better side would see him shine? Maybe he just got drafted by the wrong club and just needs a chance.
What should I tell her? She's going to ask.

HF if we wanted a foot soldier there, given the revolving door we seem to have on that line. I think he can play deep too although not quite the agile FP we seem to be searching for.

I just don't trust their list management. The same people cut Mason Wood who was damn near AA squad last year on the wing for St Kilda.

He looked ok in a preseason match a few years ago, when we tried the 4 headed forward monster. Has he had off-field issues?

In 76 games Taylor has had over 20 touches 6 times, and kicked 2 goals 4 times. But all while playing for a team which only won 14 of those 76 games - so could he be more productive in a good side? That's the gamble.
