Pritchard must have been very close. Averaging 20 a game and 5.5 tackles and then some.

She's young probably needs another preseason but she's a very good player already.
But then again, I'm an Internet poster and Bevo is a premiership coach so draw your own conclusions.

AFLW trade period: Bulldogs ruck Alice Edmonds weighing up trade options as Eagles set for significant list turnover

Contracted Western Bulldogs ruck Alice Edmonds has not given up on a potential trade as West Coast and Geelong circle.

The Bulldogs have been steadfast in their belief that Edmonds will remain at Whitten Oval after signing a three-year contract earlier this year.

But it’s understood that the All-Australian is pursuing interest from the Eagles and Cats and is willing to request a trade to either club despite meetings with the Bulldogs in recent weeks. GWS has also expressed interest.

While the Bulldogs want to retain Edmonds, it’s believed that they’d consider a trade but only if the right offer was tabled.

The Eagles currently hold pick six in the AFLW draft after finishing 13th under first-year coach Daisy Pearce. But it’s understood that West Coast is willing to trade out their first round selection to acquire established talent with the likes of Edmonds and Geelong forward Darcy Moloney among those on its radar.

That would leave us with precisely 0 rucks if my calculations are correct.

Edmunds is a good player. With us offloading the other player who had an ACL (i forget the name) then maybe we are getting Jack Macrae back to ruck?

    Yeah, we delisted Borg.
There’s a Dunkley sister yeah? Surely she can be lured away from Netball to ruck.

Having been at the venue for the Freo game that closed the season, I can confirm that Edmonds played and we had zero rucks.

Edmonds was playing in the ruck but that is a generous assessment of what she was doing out on the field - acting as a witches hat for Strom to run around before winning a hit out, taking a mark etc would be a more accurate assessment.

Watching on tv I would have said she'd had a reasonable season but being at the venue? Not at the level - what's being offered?
What should I tell her? She's going to ask.

I thought her season this year was a bust and that Mckee was on par as far as what both were suppling ruck wise. Could it be more worth while if we get some very good picks for Edmonds move her on and try and get some natural footballers if there is such a thing.

I want to know why every year any player of note wants out.
What’s our problem, it seems to continue.

Gutneckt and Kimber have signed for 2025.

Good news but I doubt it gives any of us an iota of confidence that our better players will stay.

The one to worry about is Ellie now she's not Captain makes it a little easier to go to greener pastures.
I hope not but our track record to date hasn't been good on retention.

Agreed she has been less than impressive all season. Doesn't seem to have any craft or what you can and can't do in the contest and seems to give away 3 or 4 free kicks in the ruck every week. The throwing the hands up in the air thing she has going is particularly annoying.

I think she was a rookie or replacement player and was discarded from another club. If we can get pick 6 for her I'd be all chips in.

McKee is undersized but has been serviceable. We definitely need to bring in a ruck for 2025.

Eleanor Brown is an interesting one. Didn't play all season and now looks like she's off to GWS. Thought she had poise and made good decisions across half back for us last season.

My Daughter trains one on one with Friswell from Geelong and news is Darcy Moloney wants out and has interested from three clubs including the Bulldogs. Deanna has been thrown around a bit this season and with only Fitzy and Pritchard in the middle there is a spot for a Moloney to come straight in and be a core mid. Difficult for her at Geelong with Morrison and Presparkis.

If Ellie goes I reckon we'll go very hard at Moloney. She's a good young player.

I'll be furious if we lose Elsa for nothing after she was gone for so long with concussion symptoms.

If Edmonds is out then hopefully we get Keeley Hardingham. Sure would be nice if Moody hadn't walked last season though.

Honestly, I think just chase Moloney anyways so we can finally get a win with a trade.

Izzy Grant extends for two as well.
