What were these off field habits?

Best available for our first pick. Good get. With AFL conditioning he will do well. Great to have you at the Dogs, Cooper!

They said the same about Veszpremi.
Before i scare anyone I'm not saying Cooper is in anyway like Patrick. Just a comment about conditioning in an afl environment.

Great now I can't tell everyone that was the reason why I never made it to afl level.

Didn't test well early in the year. Missed testing at the Combine with a foot injury
He has some work to do on his endurance

So he just needs a full pre season and a fair crack at it and he can still make it?

I heard that Vez is doing a pre pre season training camp overseas with Ed Barlow to work on his endurance.

I heard that Vez was trying a 2k time trial.
Started just after the grand final and had nearly completed the first kilometre in 6 weeks.
Just needs time.

Sounds like a ripping kid, quite humble and seems the type to let his actions do the talking for him.

Re: WOOF welcomes Cooper Hynes to the Whitten Oval
Thanks for the links in posts #70 and #71 above. I'm onboard (as my latest avatar attests).
I suspect in his first year (likely VFL) he will play the Bedendo role (HHF) but also take a turn in the middle.
(Little side note - Beverdige played for Frankston in 2001 (only), while Cooper's dad, John played for Frankston in 2002-2003 - their paths just missed crossing...)
Anyone can support a team that is winning, it takes no courage. But to stand behind a team, to defend a team when it is down and really needs you, that takes a lot of courage, so lets always be behind our boys and girls in red, white and blue.

Personally I don't see him having an impact or genuine role for us for 2-3 years, but i'm hoping otherwise. He does seem the type athletically to bloom in a professional system though. Wishing him all the best with us.

If you look at him as a 4th tall, yeah no room. If you see him more as a general forward who can impact aerially but also at ground level and contribute creatively, maybe taking a few minutes in the middle here and there, then I think you can make a case for a player like that (though I guess that's also Kennedy and Harmes to an extent so IDK maybe you're right)
