Warner is the most over rated player that I have seen. Explosive yes and can tear an attack apart, but in terms of temperament he is severely lacking. He needs to realise that he is responsible for building an innings to lay a foundation for the team, not just be the type of batsman to just blast away and score quick runs every time he bats. I just get the feeling he does not read the game at all.

3/8 now. Is the pitch really that incredibly unplayable or do our batsmen have really poor techniques? Seems we struggle on spinning pitches or a pitch that has any swing.

I haven't seen this sort of innings before. 4 top order batsman sent back for just 8 runs. Ferguson right into the fire.

The ball is moving around bt. I'm not a fan of Voges or Burns but they got good deliveries.

I wouldn't have thought so. They have just put the ball in the right spots and have been handsomely rewarded. Have always been critical of our shot selection in the past but not an issue today other than Warner of course.

I thought the game was in Hobart - the pitch is behaving like the Green Mamba in Kingsmead - it is near unplayable at times, and a disgrace at international level. This is the sort of pitch you expect in the VTCA or old WDCA.

Maybe channel 9 have requested a 1 day test, so they can show replays of Tom Boyd's goal continuously over the next 4 days. It would be far more interesting.
