Opposite to Liverpool in the 2004/05 campaign where they were crap in the EPL and good in the Champions League ultimately winning against AC Milan. I think they were just lucky to win the ECL in that year.

Unless you are Barcelona, luck has nothing to do with winning the ECL.

Great win 0-3 over Schalke. Set us up for the rest of the group matches.

Torres with a brace and supplying the space for the third, he maybe shiz in the Prem but has a fantastic record for Chels in European football.

On the ECL yeah. We were never a chance.

The EPL and the FA, those we actually can win. Especially if our main opponents are busily finishing in the quarter or semi finals of the European leagues.

The thrill of doing OK in Europe wore off long ago. I'd rather win domestic trophies than make the quarters or semis of the Champions League again.

I reckon we (Man Utd) won't do too well either. I'm hoping we win tomorrow morning and ultimately make the knockout phase. Hoping to defend the EPL but right now I don't think we will.

TBH I had forgotten all about Europa. My original point still stands though-we are a better chance to win Europa than the ECL.
