Our first concern should be about the player recovering from whatever his challenges are.
While his social media posts are also painting a different picture we shouldn't be concerned about that either.
And finally, how we get compensated if he is to depart shouldn't be the primary focus.
A lot of supporters are invested in the JUH story and it will of course be a shame if he leaves us but if that does happen I hope he is happy and healthy,
The club will work out all the rest.Western Bulldogs Football Club "Where it's cool to drool"👍 3Comment

It seems to me that a lot of supporters are looking at this in the wrong way.

This is Damo today. With everything happening with Marra, this is his take. This is on the official AFL site. What a disgrace.
IF ...
Josh Dunkley and Bailey Smith, and now Jamarra Ugle-Hagan, have had their own specific reasons to desperately get out of the Bulldogs ... THEN ...
there's still a common denominator. The out-of-contract coach might be overseeing a premiership chance if they were still there.

I'm sure supporters would be very willing to afford Jamarra all the sympathy in the world, if only they knew for sure what was going on. However, his SM posting belies suggestions of health issues. And the lack of information about the situation (that oddly, many seem to know about but most of us don't) is going to lead to fair and unfair judgements.👍 2Comment

All for good clubs being good and attracting players like Geelong. However if we end up sacking Jamarra and he goes to Geelong for nothing and then stars it just isn't fair anymore. How can a competition allow a player to quit, get the kick up the backside, and then turn their career around at another club while the original club (us) gets nothing. I know that is hypothetical but if it does happen I will be fuming. Basically allows any player to quit their current club and join anyone they want...Comment

More to play out, but it seems increasingly likely Marra doesn’t play for us again.Have you heard Butters wants to come to the Dogs?👍 1Comment

I support the team not players individually, first concern is always the team. Of course you have concern for the individuals within the club but I couldn’t care less about them if they were elsewhere. It’s questionable whether he wants be at the club.👍 4Comment

From the beginning this is about Jamarra and what he wants to do, The club and Bevo have exceeded their care of duty to him, Bevo says he has given Marra care from the get go.
We are always anxious when such a player may be lost. If Marra decides or has already decided to go, its out of our hands.
The club will represent our compensation case.
We don't want him nominating a club but if he does, that's AFL and we effectively get a lesser player or two.Footscray Football Republic.👍 1Comment
