I stood at ground level at Mars' scoreboard end against the Lions a couple of years ago and what really stood out to me was the height players have to put on their handballs to run forward out of trouble. You don't really notice it in the stands (while you don't see the depth/ distance between players at ground level).

The other bit you really notice at ground level is the reason why players don't take kicking options through the grid you think they should when viewing from higher up. Everyone's above six or so feet tall and quick as ****, the ground gets covered so quickly even after players have managed to kick it over the head of the pressuring opponents.

I've been a bit unsure about Sam Power and his ability to organise a department that contracts and trades well (which he can), alongside identifying draft talent.

The latter was a question mark for me, acknowledging his team up until recently have had limited draft capital to find draft talent outside of the amazing luck we've had with FS/ Academy picks. It looks like his team has picked some draft talent that we can work with and develop.

To me that's strengthening the case for keeping the do.

    1. The 2 Woofers do a wonderful job at half time with the littlies. Skippy and Boomer ? No appearance Your Honour.
    2. What Vandermeer does off the ball and his workrate go unnoticed.
    3. Overshadowed by Lobb and Jones but O'Donnell keeps improving.

Just looked at the Tracker numbers on the AFL app.

Vanders had 32 sprints for the game. The next closest was Zurhaar and Scott who had 21 each. He also ran 2.8km at "High Speed", which is defined as above 18km/h.

A bonus stat: Lobb covered a game high 14km for the game.
